I am a 34 years old Ugandan National with professional qualification in, Degree in Theology, Diploma in Accounting, certificate in Business studies, disaster resilience leadership from accredited education institutions within Uganda.

I am passionate to effective and efficient service delivery while observing human dignity and rights, I am committed to achieving results, organized and knowledgeable of humanitarian principles and values, I am a well-seasoned team player who integrates relevant stakeholders in the project planning, implementation and monitoring. I have experience in implementing donor funded projects and especially education and humanitarian

Eloi Shamar Orphanage is a Christian-based, non-profit organization operating currently in Uganda, with offices located in   Lotuke Sub County, Gulopono Parish, Abim District -Karamoja Sub region in Northern Uganda

          OUR MOTIVATION 

The idea of Eloi Shamar Orphanage was conceived by Jimmy and Rev Vicky Ogwang that are passionate about the well-being of children and that have over the years volunteered their time and given of themselves and their resources to children in various orphanages and babies’ homes. It is our conviction that children should grow up fully integrated into the community. A babies’ or children’s home should be a temporary place of transition the resettlement into permanent homes. Currently, community resettlement services for orphans and other vulnerable children are non-existent in Karamoja –Abim District.

Our board is comprised of board members who share the same vision and passion for the well-being of children. From children, we derive joy and we are convinced that it is our duty to give that same joy back to children that need it.

At least 12.3 % of children in Uganda are orphans. 420,000 of these orphans have lost only a mother and 1,330,000 a father. However, 402,500 of these are total orphans, having lost both parents, and these are the more likely to end up in orphanages.
2 Mission Statement: Eloi Shamar Orphanage Limited is dedicated to raising orphaned children in a Christ centered home, emphasizing sustainability, empowerment and community development

OBJECTIVE

 Foundation is to empower the next generation through provision of quality education and mentorship, providing essential needs to the underprivileged children, Widows, elderly people, Teenage mothers, school dropout, PWDs and those at risk of dropping out of school. We aim to provide these services for the underprivileged children in the children’s home (Eloi Shamar Orphanage) and around the community, providing food to the Elderly people, Vocational skilling  training to widows, teenage mothers, school dropouts and providing counselling & providing sponsorships for those at risk of dropping out of school.

 VISION STATEMENT:

Our mission statement is 

 Children's well-being  and development are best supported from families through Medical care, good feeding, Quality Education, Shelter, clothing. Counselling & guidance, vocational skilling and spiritual development.

·         To construct infrastructure that matches with the growing needs of Eloi Shamar Orphanage as a reputable Children's recreation center in Uganda.
